Post professional practice
This year there was a lot of good and bad.
But it was a learning experience for me, the good thing i suppose was that i learnt a lot about my individuality and that i prefer to work that way and not rely on others so much.
I also learnt a lot through my work, and through my course tutors.
I wish there was more practical, and i was informed this before taking part in the bachelors degree.
However when you're on the course you do feel that you need the practical just as much as the theory for brain stimulus reasons.
I did however enjoy moments through out my year, like i said some were good and some were bad, all in all, it is a positive outcome.
I need to find out my final grades and check for next years classes as soon as possible and work even harder next year!

Completion
Just finishing my assignment to be handed in tomorrow, leaves me hardly anytime to prepare for our presentation for tomorrow which is a shame, i thought at least professional practice and technology project would hand separate hand in dates, rather than both falling on the same day and being two different subjects.
There was a lot of knowledge that came from learning about professional practices revolving around the automotive industry, that i never knew about.
I hope my assignment gets me a good mark with all the hard work i put into it :) haha

Todays Pechakutcha - Unattended
Could not attend today because of the work load i have on my shoulders at this current time, with 3 assessments coming up and other stuff in my life just makes things to damn busy, and would of liked to have gone today but am really stuck into my assignments.
With professional practice due on the 14th, we also have technology project due a week earlier along with a presentation.
There is a lot to do with so little time, with both courses back to back.

Panel Discussion
Last week we had a panel discussion for around an hour and a half talking about our observation at our organization that we had recently visited.
Our workshop we visited was German Automotive in Glenfield on the North Shore.
They were very polite and professional. Our panel discussion talked about their customer service, health and safety, ethical issues and waste management.
We thoroughly spent time listening to everyone findings.
It was a bit heated over the Treaty of Waitangi however people had many views unrelated to the Automotive trade.
This was a bit of a concern because people who talked about the Treaty as if they knew much about it probably knew very little at all about anything at all.
It still however sparked a debate which was interesting.

Much better this week
Meet up with Kevin and worked on our assignments together, i have enjoyed going to classes, however some weeks are a bit slow and with nothing to do.
Its good that i can catch up with my project buddies as well so we can work on our project at the same time.
All is good, and i hope to finish this year positively.

Meeting with group
I met with group today had lunch and worked on the assignment, we looked at all the aspects and guidelines before we went to our chosen workshop so we knew what to look for.
When we went to German Automotive it was a great experience and thought i was having a great time with my new found friend.
We did lots of research and had a lot of things to take home for our presentation and our report.

Good day
Presentation skills
Today we focus on our presentation skills, with a awesome tutor called Lynn John who is from Wales. He gave us some fantastic advice and information on presenting ourselves in front of an audience. He also told us great stories of Italy, of a famous architect of Florance in the 15th century, Filippo Brunelleschi and Brunelleschi's Dome. Lynn has travel to Florance many times, and considers us to take a trip there sometime because it is beautiful. He is also a great singer and loves to sing because he is welsh haha!. I enjoyed my day in this class because i was compelled. I also enjoyed it because we were interactive and i felt that i learned something. I am looking forward to the our next class on the 24th of October where we will be presenting our PechaKutcha to the class and presenting not just pechakutcha but ourselves. Chow!
For Thursday
Tomorrow Kevin and I are going to be going to our designated workshop to collect data for our assignment.
It should be interesting, will post tomorrow on the details.

Lagging a bit.
Haven't had the time to go to our automotive workshop and complete our requirements for our course.
I am hoping to arrange with my group partner for a scheduled visit to an automotive workshop next Thursday.
I have had personal issues conflicting the past month, with other studies, work and dental issues that are being resolved.
So I'm hoping next week we can get started on our report.

Proposal
Past couple of week we have basically written up a proposal and yet to select a automotive workshop to do one of our studies on.
When we have selected our workshop to review we will select questions to ask and go over a sweep of professional practices in the industry.
Will update when this is completed, hopefully in the next couple of weeks, where me and my group partner Kevin Moorhead will complete a review of our result.

Starting the course
With a brief overview that i missed, as i was one of the later students to arrive. The class started and ended with a discussion on matters of education, automotive practices and our assessments.
Students involved in this course had their voice being heard from being asked to say a little bit about where they wanted to be in the future.
Everyone then paired into groups for their part one of the assignment where we will be observing a automotive workshop to get a scope on the industry.
The course started on a great note and looking forward to the next class this week.
